Biography

Following an impressive route to the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final, Manchester United met tough opponents in Bayern München. The German side took an early 1-0 lead which they held through to injury time when The Red Devils equalised in the 91st minute. It looked to be heading to extra time until Teddy Sheringham flicked on a corner which was met by the outstretched boot of substitute Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who completed one of the greatest comebacks in UEFA Champions League history.
